6 Poisonous Plants That Can Harm Your Cat In Your HomeWhen you’ve got a cat, the very last thing you want is to see them come to any harm. As a pet owner, it’s your job to make sure that your kitty is happy and healthy at all times. Often, though, that may seem easier said than done. While you may not realize it, there are actually a whole load of plants out there that are dangerous for your cat on a day to day basis.

Many cat owners overlook this problem, but it could have disastrous consequences. When it comes to choosing plants for your home, you need to make sure that they are 100% safe for your pet. With that in mind, you should of course avoid the following common houseplants. They may look pretty, but these things can be ever-so-harmful to your pet. Yikes!

Tulips

Tulips tend to be extremely common in modern households. While these look pretty on the surface, they hide a deadly secret. When your cat bites into these plants, they may become sick right away. The fact of the matter is that tulips are quite poisonous to cats, which means that you should not get them!

Aloe Vera

Now, we already know that Aloe Vera has a load of healing properties for us humans, but what about cats? Sadly, they don’t react the same way to this plant. If you want to look out for your kitty’s health, you will do well to avoid these houseplants. They will do them no good at all.

Mistletoe

When Christmas comes around, there’s only one thing that you will want to hang from the ceiling. Unfortunately, those kisses under the mistletoe will have to wait this year. Cats can often be allergic to this plant which means that it can be very dangerous.

Lilies

Another houseplant that people seem to love is the common lily. There are plenty of reasons for this — it’s beautiful and easy to get hold of. Still, cats can’t be around these plants and so you need to get rid of them before you get your pet.
