Have you ever seen a cat smile? No? Well, we’ve got to change that right now, and lucky for you we’ve got the purr-fect suggestions to make your cat feline fine!
You know what they say, “a brush a day keeps the vet away!” You’ve never heard that saying? Well, I’m sure that your cat would tell you all about it if he could talk! Brushing provides many benefits, not least of which is bonding time between you and your furry friend. But regular brushing helps to prevent furballs as well as decreasing the amount of fur that sticks to your furniture and carpeting.

It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it—cleaning out the litter box! If possible, your cat dislikes a stinky litter box even more than you do. Do yourself a favor, and stay on top of the task by scooping on a regular basis!
While we’re on the topic, be sure to have enough litter boxes for multi-cat households. Each cat deserves to have his own box; do you like to wait in line to use the bathroom? I thought not!
All cats need mental and physical stimulation, even our older friends. You may think that your sedentary kitty doesn’t want to play, but the heart of a hunter lurks in every little furball. Play doesn’t have to involve chasing your cat around the house, it can be as simple as using a laser pointer for kitty to track, or dangling a string for kitty to bat at.
If your cat likes to nibble on your houseplants, why not give him his own supply of greens? Many houseplants, including lilies and philodendrons, are toxic to felines. Instead, offer up a pot of cat grass or catnip for kitty to munch on. It’s much safer, and having his own buffet 24/7 will make him feel special!

All a guy needs to know about women, he can learn from a cat. cats and women share a unique feature.. they are both ruled-based beings. Men characteristically don’t do rules.. thus relationships fail routinely.
Wow! I wonder if these tips but work for my turtle since I don’t have a cat. Ha ha! Seriously though I just found out that my turtle makes noises I heard him making terrible noises from his mouth the other day.

This reminds me I need to get a new thing of cat grass for my cat. He loves the stuff! And if I don’t soon, he WILL start chewing on my houesplants.

My mom had one cat. Then I found a kitten that needed a home. Then she got adopted by three more cats. It’s almost comical to go visit her, out of fear another cat will have moved in. She definitely needs the multi-cat litter box.

Pick up half a pound or so of raw oats at a health food store (or a feed store or riding stable). Put some potting soil in a pot 4-6″ in diameter and depth. Water soil thoroughly, Sprinkle a spoonful of oats across the top of the soil in a single layer, press them in a bit, then add about half an inch of soil to cover the oats completely but not too thickly Tamp the soil down, then add water gently until it runs out the hole in the bottom of the pot. Place the pot in a warm place (I use the top of my refrigerator). When green shoots start poking out, in about 10 days, move the pot to a window for light. After about 10 days, the grass will be about 3-4″ tall, and your cat will be so happy to have fresh greens to eat! Don’t be surprised if your kitty throws up after eating fresh grass for the first or second time – kitties eat grass in the first place to rid themselves of hair accumulating in their tummies. But you will eliminate the hairball problem for good if you provide fresh oat grass a couple times a week.

we used to give our boys a smorgasbord of kibble, boars head turkey, and wet food == since cats only eat when they are hungry, I like to give them options (since I like having options for meals) we have tall cat houses for running and jumping and two big toy boxes, window seats, heated beds and window seats, and snuggles in bed. I believe they went to the rainbow bridge thinking — oh how we were loved and they were all happy, smiley cats. It has been a year since we lost our last 19 year old tonkinese … and while none of our four boys will ever be replaced, we are welcoming two new kittens next week. I can’t wait to see their faces with all the bells and whistles we have waiting for them
