Has your cat ever gotten in the way of your dating life? There’s nothing more embarrassing than bringing how your new boyfriend or girlfriend only to have them start wheezing because they are allergic to your pet, or discover that your cat sprayed their shoes when they get ready to leave. It takes a cat owner to really understand a cat owner. So, it makes sense that cat lovers should date cat lovers.
Believe it or not, there is actually a dating website JUST for cat owners. I had to believe it to see it. I was minding my own business one morning, eating some cereal, and watching a rerun of Ellen DeGeneres’ hilarious daytime talk show. She did a pretty comical segment on dating websites, and how specific they are getting these days. You have to admit it is pretty funny – no matter who you are or where you are from, there truly is a dating website for everyone, from farmers to Christians, to Star Trek fans, and even cat owners.

I had to see it to believe it. Just like Ellen said, there it was, “PurrSonals.com.” It had to be a joke, right? Nope. It’s the real deal. A dating website for cat lovers in search of cat lovers. And, my family said I was going to be a crazy old cat lady forever, ha! The homepage reads, “The Cat Lovers Social Network – Where Cat Lovers Meet And Greet.”
To be honest, I haven’t created an account. But, I did bookmark it as kind of a last resort thing. Nothing against PurrSonals, I am kind of against any dating website. However, it is comforting to know that someone out there, somewhere, has had some horrible dating experiences with a non-cat owner to the extreme that they masterminded a cat owner dating website.

I am sure there is a dating website for everyone and anything. I think finding that one thing in common first, like a love for cats, is a good way to get conversation going.

This is really hilarious but you can’t help but agree! There will be people who would have issues dating someone who is close to their pets. I really think this is going to narrow down the choices, lol!
